I guess the clubs wants someone to just cover the time till Chambers is back from injury and Saliba returns from loan.

A loan for 6 months could make sense. Wouldn't buy him though. We already have Sokratis and Luiz as 30+ CBs and we don't need another one on our books.
In the summer I would even try to offload one of them to make place for Upamecano.

I want us for once to spend big on a CB like Upamecano. I'm fed up with going for bargain basement CBs.

That said, Luiz and Sokratis are showing that you don't need to be young and pacey to work. Its nice having two big old lumps at the back again so I wouldn't be totally against adding a third.

We have Saliba arriving in the summer, but we do need another CB in addition.
