He was cheap and getting him enabled me to get someone more expensive in another position

I'll keep him for the first round of games and see if he plays or not

Nandez is probably a better bet for the same money, playing a more advanced role

Not the only one. He out muscles several big guys throughout the video.

The guy just knows how to use his low center of gravity to dislodge people and he is actually very good on the ball.

We have needed this kind of pit bull in midfield for ever.

he's santi with grit and on steroids. holy smokes, can't wait to see him in an arsenal kit
cheers!

I wouldn't compare a CDM to Santi Cazorla?

Just because we threw him in at CM in his last season? Santi has always been a CAM throughout his career, also played on wide like Ozil does.

I hope this guy manages to fit the bill, not sure if I'm as hype as some of you, not falling for Highlight videos, everyone looks amazing in highlight videos.

Francis Jeffer's looks good on highlight videos.

The only thing I'm happy with is that he's played in the Italian league where they take defensive duties and skill seriously and he plays the role we need, deep lying CM / CDM.

Other than that I want to see him in action before I start jizzing everywhere.

his foot skills and size are comparable to santi. I understand they play different positions with altered mindsets, but his technical ability and how he handles traffic is very similar to cazorla. their composures and the same as well. it's refreshing to see a player be comfortable on the ball and able to shield defenders.....even at that size.
cheers!

Kid seems legit. Hope he’s ready to be kicked to all hell though with those cheeky flicks and turns.

Kid is not like Santi.

Santi was a bonafide attacking mid converted into a deep lying playmaker. Torreira is like a hybird of Kante, Davids and Cambiassso

Does Uruguay have very good to world class midfield options?
If not, it wonders me that Torreira isn't getting into their side, if he's that good.

Because he hasn't established himself yet. He's very highly rated among uruguayans though
