LOL 'fresh update'. Does Edu even start the meeting without handing out dossiers on all the Arsenal players Arteta doesn't want?

But right now the way we play I think they're expecting Maddison to play in the no10 position like Odegaard did.

That means he and ESR wouldn't be starting in the same line up.

Remember when Wenger used to play Cazorla out wide. I think that’s what’s going to happen to ESR if we get Maddison
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)

(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

ESR came in and transformed us playing #10 last season. Why TF are we signing a player to force ESR to be played out of position. Maddison is a complete waste of money imo.

Leicester have rejected whatever we offered (cash + player?) we are getting ourselves in the same position we did with White, only club making an offer yet still paying the absolute maximum (or over) price that the selling club demand ...

Why are we so bad at buying and selling players?

Because everyone running our club are rookies.

We have a manager who this is his first ever mangerial job, we have a Technical Director who was a soft rookie in the football recruitment game, who reports to an Accountant in Vinai.

Who then reports to our American owner who doesn't even know what Offside is.

Hence why we're so poorly run, minimal experience from top to bottom.

You do need two players for that though, especially if Arteta is going to keep playing the 4-2-3-1 formation which literally has a no10 spot.

You can't build a formation like that and have only one CAM.

However I think he's gone about it all wrong, wrong formation and yes Maddison is a waste at £60m, no way he's worth that, rather keep Willock, Joe on his Newcastle form was just as good as Maddison.

Arteta is an idiot, he just wants to make signings to show he can pull them off, splashing Kroenke's money up the wall, its hillarious.

This is the same man that sent a £27m CB packing and had to buy a £50m one to replace him, the guys never played a proper professional game for us, save I think one half appearance in the Europa.......... but that means we spent £77m and all we really got was one CB for the team.

Same money as Maguire and VVD, its scandalous.

I also think Maddison is a waste of money and would much rather get auaor and bissouma for the same price especially now that partey is injured

Rodgers says that Maddison is worth 100 million now that Grealish has gone for that amount.
This is what the financial cheats of Manchester do to football in this country.
They devastate the transfer market, make it anti-competitive and essentially lock players into their clubs because no one can afford them, thus making it more difficult for other clubs to compete with City.

They are effectively buying trophies and hampering every other club.

I would not be surprised to see successful players start refusing long term contracts so as not to be stuck.

Until City are properly punished this is just going to get worse and ultimately the people who will suffer are the fans as well as the players.

I totally agree. Chelsea before them and now City have ruined football in this country. I'm becoming less and less interested in it. I see primadonna millionaires prancing around the football field and I just can't relate to them any more. In fact, I feel that with most sports now and I'm a sports nut.

Of course Rodgers will try to inflate the price of his player, but I think he knows as well as everyone else that Maddison isn't as good as Grealish.
