Vazquez has significantly more experience playing first team football at Real. Malcom is much younger at 22, but has only played at Bordeaux and pretty much just sat on the bench at Barca last year.

Also, there's the small matter of him reneging on Roma at the last possible minute to join Barca. Not a good look for a player, especially given our current situation.
