we need 2 big signings to rejuvinate the squad i dont know if leicster will be willing to lose mahrez mid season but i think drax or di maria is more likely and better for width we should also try to buy a lwb and move miles to rwb

Wouldn't mind Mahrez/Draxler a s Sanchez replacements be we still need a Cazorla replacement as Xhaka is dire.

Nobody mentioning our atrocious cb situation. Mind you I don't think any centre back will ever thrive under arsene.

di Maria is known to be an enormous d***head in spite of his huge talent; Wenger will stay far away. Not to mention he'll be 30 next month and in spite of being a far better finisher than Ozil, his game depends a lot on his pace.

Think the Sanchez replacement has to be someone who can play wide or in a front 2...watching Ozil behind two strikers against chelsea was so good and if we play w a back 3 this is how we should do it from now on

1st thing to do this january is get Ozil signed
Werner would be the perfect buy but impossible...so Guedes is a must and AW has a great relationship w PSG...this is such a no brainer
then play 3-5-2/4-3-1-2/4-2-3-1

Please don't disrespect Cazorla like that again, Wilshere is nowhere near the level Cazorla was for us nor will he ever reach that level, not due to injuries but it's just that he lacks the skill set in general.

This... and highlighted during the debacle at Nottingham. Our CB situation is nearing a crisis.

-Mustafi has enough quality (he'll learn to avoid making the occasional very sloppy mistake just like Kos did).
-Koscielny is always injured now and that won't improve given his age.
-Mertesacker is retiring at the end of the season and is too slow (much more so now than before) to cope.
-Monreal is pretty good in the back 3 but he's also the wrong side of 30.
-Chambers is ass.
-Holding is ass.

We need to buy a decent CB desperately (especially since nothing can be done to improve the current defense with Wenger at the helm).

Any1 have any insight on City's Mangala? I know he's disappointed since his move to City but does he have the ability and mentality to be a good, reliable center back or is he a lost cause? I ask because he wants regular playing time, City have to eventually start selling some players due to FFP, he could be made part of the Sanchez deal, and he'd help satiate Wenger's fetish for Frenchmen so he wouldn't be an unrealistic January target.
I can't think of any other realistic possibilities for a CB signing this January.

Centre-backs are fine it's just the way we play will never make them look as good as they can be.

We should just have 4 pacey CB's who can head and they'd do just as good a job.

Love how Santi hasn't played in something like 2 years and we still haven't found an adequate replacement.

If he's still picking up a salary, he isn't getting replaced. See Walcott, Arshavin, Wilshere.
