Wilfried Zaha

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

He’d be a great signing. For one he starts in a deeper position so would suit Emery’s style of playing two holding midfielders as he’d help bring the ball forward from a wide area. Secondly, he terrifies defenders with his direct running and impact in the box. They would over mark him. This would open up a lot of space for Laca.

We have some deadwoods that I bet would fit in nicely at Palace. I won’t mention any names though :hiding:
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Would be a very good signing but Juve want so...i don't see us getting him

Back to Zaha maybe i'm a bit biased . I have never liked him he spends too much time on the ball turning and twisting. . Would also cost far too much.

No he can’t but we don’t need ten defenders on the pitch. What he can do is give us a wide attacking presence. Today we are too narrow in bringing the ball out. Or we depend on wing backs or mediocre players like Iwobi. He’s quick, carries the ball well and causes havoc in the box. He pulls central defenders away from the CFs they are marking to engage him. He will open up space in the box for Laca or Auba. He’s also added goals to his game. He was brilliant against us.

I'm not keen on zaha. Supposed to be the next big thing, flopped at utd. Not sure why he's rated so highly?

Exactly the type of player we are missing, even if it's not necessarily him.

If Laca really is going to Barca then we could sign Zaha to replace him then put him on the left and Auba up top, we would be more functional than we are now.

Whaaat lacazette should not be sold under any circumstances. We just lost Ramsey. Cheapo better be spending this season not selling to spend.

Its just rumours Barca are gonna go in for him for £70m, and usually if Barca comes knocking its game over, so if he did, Zaha would be a upgrade because hes a proper winger and Auba can be our center forward and Auba is the better striker of the 2, instead of us playing him out wide because he is not that good at it.
