Reminds me of the Andre Onana rumor last summer

We seem to do a lot of monitoring and tracking.

He hasn't been a big name in a long time. That goal vs Juve in the CL final was 5 years ago.

Arsenal could yet sign Spain midfielder Marco Asensio, 26, this summer as a dispute over his wages at Real Madrid continues. (Mirror)

Asensio, who has one year remaining on his contract, would like to stay at Real Madrid but believes he deserves a pay rise. (Marca)

After all the work to cut the wage bill, which seemed out of desperation at times (there's still noise about us having to reduce before we spend)... are we really likely to be able to pay higher wages than Madrid?

Would love to get this guy. Technically superb, 26 years old, one year left on his deal. We could get him under 30 mil.

26yo with a major ACL injury 2 years ago. He isn't a bad player but there's a reason clubs haven't come in for him in the past. We saw what it did to Bellerin.

He did decently last season under Carlo, 10 league goals in 1700 mins played. Started 19/38 Liga games.

Not for me, was watching him against Barcelona yesterday and hes rash, wasteful and out of his depth there, not to mention hes aging, likely over paid and had a ACL injury.

Really not the kind of player we should be looking at after giving away all those over paid losers in the same sort of name bracket over the last few years.

He missed a couple of key years of development due to his injuries. He should have been in line to replace Bale in the RW spot, but didn't.

Arsenal will compete with Manchester United to sign Marco Asensio from Real Madrid, according to Fichajes.

The Gunners have been chasing the Spaniard for the last two years and could be tempted to rope in the player in the ongoing window.

Doesn’t fill me with confidence that Carlo seems to prefer Ceballos to Asensio

I don't think Ceballos and Asensio are competing for the same spot, though. Asensio is a final third player who predominantly plays on the right flank, whereas Ceballos is a central midfielder.

They are both playmakers though essentially.

Asensio can play on the wing. He used to be good, but I'm not that sure anymore.
