Arsenal DNA.

Get rid of Wilshere and let this guy and Ramsey fight it out or rotate for CM alongside Coq and Xhaka.

We need a CM if Wilshere goes anyway and unfortunately Cazorla is done (more the pity, one of the better players we've bought in the last 4 years).

Agreed. It's time to accept that Santi is done in this league. Let him see out his career elsewhere.

Nice little technical player but not the type we need. We need to replace Diaby. A true b2b ball carrier. The perfect complement to Xhaka. Is Goretzka that player? Maybe Rabiot. Or even one of the Benders though their name makes me uncomfortable. You know how Spuds will go on if we buy a player called bender.

Yes but surely if Barca are offering him it must mean they are willing to do it for a reasonable price.

I don't think we were even in for a top class CM, it seems to be just Lemar Wenger has his eye on.

So if its Rafinha or no CM at all, he's a pretty good shout.

Barcelona midfielder Rafinha is gearing up for a move to the Premier League in January, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazil international is recovering from a knee injury, and is keen to grab regular first-team football to strengthen his chances of going to next year's World Cup.

And, with limited opportunities at Camp Nou, a move to England could help his cause, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham among those reportedly interested in his services this summer.

Next summer we lose Ozil, Cazorla and probably Wilshere. Might as well get Rafinha in winter before we get priced out in summer.

Not saying they are big loses. But a team needs central midfielders and we arent going to have very many starting next summer.

Need to try and take this approach for any other potential targets (i.e. if they're available)
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)
