Rafinha

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Rafinha

Postby ESR10 » Mon Jun 19, 2017 1:36 pm

Arsenal could land Rafinha from Barcelona this summer as part of an exchange deal for Hector Bellerin.

The Catalan giants are determined to re-sign the Gunners' right-back.

And according to Spanish newspaper Marca, midfielder Rafinha is open to heading the other way.

The Brazilian is apparently 'looking forward' to the prospect of playing in the Premier League and relishes the opportunity of working under Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal would offer him regular football ahead of the 2018 World Cup and landing Rafinha would help soften the blow of losing Bellerin.

This guy any good? I don't watch Barcelona that often

I've only seen Youtube videos of him and he looks pretty good there. Strikes me as a technically better version of Ramsey (i.e. better dribbler, tackler, ball control, etc.) but can't tell from Youtube videos alone if his stamina is just as good or better. A CM with poor stamina is a dealbreaker for me

I am a firm believer that YouTube is capable of making any player look good. Check highlights of Troy Deeney, for example lol.

Personally, I wouldn't want us to swap Hector for him + money as we're fairly well stocked in CM, especially if we stick with the 3-4-3 variant which only allows for 2 CMs

Apparently Barca have offered him to us. No mention of Bellerin in any deal though.

technically good, plays CM, but can also operate cam, however from what I remb of him, he likes to get stuck in. His mixture of skill and physicality with goals would make him a better alternative to Ramsey, id say

Barca opening the door for Coutinho. Wonder how much Liverpool will ask for him.

I'd have him. We need more in our midfield and he is attainable.
