Football is simple. A player is worth whatever the club he is contracted to say he is worth.

How come that never works with us? RVP and Cesc both let go cheap compared to these kind of evals

They were let go because other clubs paod what we thought they were worth

Rvp wasn't cheap. At that time, 24m for a player with a year left on his contract was crazy money. Regardless, there's more than just money and that he went to man u meant he should have gone for 40m for the rival angle alone.

Cesc was actual daylight robbery though, they destroyed us.

Wenger going to the board to tell them to lower Cescs transfer price was criminal

Board agreeing just as bad

I would say it was real cheap. Would pay 24 mil to win the league every year, wouldn't you?

It's really not as simple as that though is it...

Agreed. This Lemar saga is going nowhere......and I seriously doubt we will actually sign anyone else.

It looks like Sanchez is staying and Monaco refusing to climb down may make this end up in a stalemate.

Wenger's not going to throw in the kitchen sink when we have Sanchez as a starter.

This one may be over unless Lemar can pressure Monaco but I doubt it.

True - unless he makes himself impossible and jeapordises his future career in the process, Lemar has no leverage for another few years as he is contracted at Monaco until 2020.

Will City pay for Mendes more than they did for Walker? Might actually be a chance of getting him after that rejected bid now

Monaco also reported mad at City over Mbappe...............

A source with affiliation with the club tells me that they have the deal wrapped up, and they are just waiting until after China to announce the deal. Source has correctly predicted Sead and Alex before they signed as well. Deal is around the 55 million range. Thought it would be good to pass this information around to you guys.
