Thomas Lemar

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Lemar would play exactly where Sanchez is now, not on at LWB. Ramsey can stay central with Xhaka and we will have Lemar, Lacazette and Ozils new replacement upfront.

Wenger pretty much went for him to replace Sanchez last summer when he was about to leave.

Lemar playing as a CM has been brought up before in here and the few times I watched him, I noticed that he has a good amount of energy, can pick a pass, and is not bad wrt tackling; all useful traits to have in order to play CM. Would not be surprised if Lemar is Cazorla's replacement tbch.

Plus let's not forget, Cazorla has played many games out wide before

Swapping the Cazorla position of a advanced playe makewrs to a meazzla so he can drift wide would be interesting. (but pointless because hes already a elite winger)

Not a fan of playing players out of position tbh. Just pointing out that it is an option. its also better to go this route than buying no one and thinking that no other player is better than what you currently have

Players are known to humor the media with such cheek these days. Wouldn't read too much into it.

What position does Lemar actually play, is it CM or wide?

If its wide get rid of Sanchez now and get Lemar in, we need some good news and stabilising.

I think the Sanchez situation is played out, he's not our future, he's hardly warranting keeping him atm either.

Don't get me wrong he's better than most of our squad even on a bad day but we're just chewing up the clock with Sanchez, lets get a committed Arsenal player in the door.

Lemar will not join us now, he was pretty insulted by our approach after being strung on the entire window

Left winger, like a left sided Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with a bit more skill but less power.

I'd say a heck of a lot more skill than the man who can't cross or pass on a consistent basis

Lol a bit more....

Try a LOTS LOTS more.

Lemar is an intelligent and skillful player.

Great ball control, can dribble out of trouble, nice first touch, links up well, provides nice crosses, and can score from set pieces.

It is a crime to compare him with garbage like Ox.

We NEED 1 of Fekir & Lemar

If we can’t get both then we should also try and get one of Depay & Neres

Only got 2 in 17, we need a scorer if we are to replace sanchez , i like depay but he didn't mentally hack it previously, if we are talking about replacing sanchez who on his day is world class, we need some one that has a good goal and assist record in a top division.

Fekir is someone we should aim for but he isn't a sanchez replacement.

Mahrez is a no brainier as well but he is for the right wing, so it should be separate from sanchez replacement

Ozil needs serious quality not some kid with 2 in 17.

^this is what i meant.

A goal scorer from the wing rather than a playmaker.

I think Martial would be superb..

Martial would be great, have to imagine that is impossible though, that is the problem really there isn't really that many top goal scoring left wingers we could probably get, shows what a disastrous situation we got ourselves into letting sanchez running his contract down.

We should really have looked to kept perez with sanchez going, he might not be a world beater but he has goals and could cushion the blow along with another player, really bizarre stuff from wenger.
