Tottenham and Arsenal are likely to compete for Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals, 23. The Gunners may have to sell Mesut Ozil before making a move. (Express)

Dark days being an Arsenal fan when West Ham continues to sign players who would walk into our starting XI.

First Manu Lanzini, then Felipe Anderson and now Pablo Fornals.

Alright, the latter has yet to prove himself in the Premier League, but for £24m and at age 23, he'd have to be catastrophic in order to be worse value for money than Granit Xhaka who cost nearly twice as much.

Wish people understood this.

If we're not careful, we're looking at becoming the new Everton especially if the Newcastle ownership change is true. Not to ignore West Ham's increased revenue as well as the classy manager they have and of course, Everton's already rich owners.

Lol I think we will get our deals done before pre season. If we don't. Well it's arsenal so it won't be a real surprise not expecting us to sign any big players anyways.

Pssh, people would have claimed "catastrophe" if we had spent £20m on Denis Suarez (glad it didn't happen myself).

Of course, now that EPL powerhouse West Ham have bought a player with a massive 2G 3A in La Liga, certain parties are going to make this look like we missed out on the deal of the century or some shit.

Better than any midfielder we’ll get this summer I’m telling you

Need a progresser from midfield otherwise you can’t get rid of Xhaka. Simple as

He is very good at dribbling and is excellent technically, but he gets bullied off the ball easily and doesn't put a shift in defensively. His contributions in an attacking sense aren't exactly dazzling either.

He's young enough to improve for sure, but my impression is, whilst he is a good player, we need to be looking at others who offer more than this.
