We could do with a poacher though. We create a lot of chances. Just yesterday we must have created 3-4 solid chances in just the first 30 mins. A poacher with a nose for goal could've put the game away in the first half itself.

What makes this guy more interesting is that - unlike Immobile - Belotti has more ability on the ball, is strong as an ox and as good as ambipedal.

Manchester United and Arsenal to compete for Torino striker Andrea Belotti and more transfer rumours

Man Utd transfer news includes reports that Arsenal are also interested in Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

Manchester United will face competition from Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for Andrea Belotti, according to reports.

The Sun on Sunday, citing sources in Italy, claims that the London clubs are ahead of United in the race for the Torino striker, who is valued at around £85m.

Belotti scored 27 goals in all competitions last season and has caught the eye of clubs across Europe.

United have been repeatedly linked with his signature but Saturday's FA Cup final victory is said to have aided Arsenal's cause in the battle for his signature.

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney is a shock transfer target for Stoke City according to the Sunday People.

United's record goal scorer looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer, with an Everton return or a move to China the most likely destinations.

But the latest report claims that Stoke sponsors Bet365 are helping put together a £45m package to tempt the England international to the Potteries.

They want too much for him, no one is going to pay even half that. The player is going to have to force his way out if he wants a move.

Limited resources means prices increase, its just natural.

Top strikers are few compared to midfielders, defenders etc and top strikers win you games.

This is why Wenger needed to realise you do business early when the landscape is open and there are more options available, because as soon as top players start getting bought everybody that's left is held to ransom, hence why our deadline day strategy was BS.

Think about it, if Lacazette wasn't bought when he was and was still being sold post Lukaku, he'd be worth £65m all day maybe even £70m at a push i.e one of the few left later in the window.
