For 8m that is dissapointing he also looks like he has the skill and versatility to play anywhere across the front 4.

Love the way agents use our name to negotiate deals for their clients. I bet we never showed any interest in this guy.

Surprised it happens.

Agent: "look mate. You're not the only one interested in my client, so cough up the cash!"
Interested manager: "oh yea? Who else is interested?"
A: "Arsenal"
IM: "lol, yea, good one!"

8m was more than a reasonable gamble even IF we are targeting someone else given our funds.

Arsenal have more than enough funds where they can start gambling and investing on players. Even if we get surplus pieces, if they pan out then we can sell them for good profit to fund our other need in the future.

Even if the club's goal is to make money, you can make more money by investing in players in an market that keeps inflating instead of letting that money rot in the bank.

You can be cheap but smart.

Arsenal is being cheap and stupid.

This is what fucks me off more than anything. At 8m there is literally 0 serious risk of signing this guy, given that we currently have 1 fit striker who isn't even good I don't see why this would've been unnecessary at all.

Oh well, we'll be lucky to get 1 striker nevermind 2.

Arsenal is a big enough club and has more than enough funds where it can fry the bigger fish and have some little ones on the side as well.

WBY would have been great insurance signing. Even if we go hard on Lacazette or Icardi there is no guarantee we sign either.

Simeone: Antoine, my friend, you ought to join Arsenal.
AG: Why?
Simeone: AG9 would look good at the Emirates.
AG: u wot m8?
Simeone: I'm the next Arsenal manager.

Deal with it!
