IMO, that was the right decision.

He is already 25 years old and he is too light at the moment to come to EPL and make a difference right away. He would need to bulk up.

He is more suited for La Liga and even his manager said so in the last line of that link.

That being said, I wish he had taken a gamble and come to us.

Always said Lacazette was better, overrated player made the right decision because even Giroud is better

Tbh, the only positive thing we can get from this is that this is the 2nd striker that Wenger did confirmed try to get and actually bid the right amount......

COULD THIS BE THE SUMMER WE END THE GIROUD CURSE?

We will end the Giroud as the sole striker curse. He will still be featured ...just along with someone else.

Wenger has been trying to get a cheaper option than Lacazette it seems. Eventually when all fails, and looks like it has, he will bid the right amount for Lacazette.

The more I keep think about it the more I believe that this one might come back to haunt us later on.

His size is his biggest issue but if you compare him to Lacazette for example, this guy seems to have better technical ability. His ability to lose his man and then the finishing is quality.

The reason I visited this was because of the Griezmann talk. Griezmann inst a big guy himself. Lean, fast and great technical ability.

Yeah and if we really wanted him we could have got him but Wenger probably told him he'll be behind Giroud and Walcott, he'd easily be a better option at RW than Walcott and made a good CF option for certain games such as Barcelona/Bayern away when we need to keep possession (when possible) and move fast on the counter.

Tbh I don't think Wenger was ever interested in signing him otherwise the big news outlets like Sky woeful have reported a bid at least, it's a shame though because he looks like the closest thing to Suarez and a potentially world class player for peanuts.
