Very hard to judge is SPL form is worth much .... Celtic record in the SPL is WWWWWWWWWWWDWWWWWWW or something like that .... they can score 5 every week if they want ....

I think the only players from Celtic to make the grade in the last few years both went to Southampton - Wanyama and Van Dijk - if you look at their top goal scorers in recent years none have done anything much outside Scotland ...

Would be a huge amount of money (50m+) for a lad who was good but not great in the Championship .... but then he's only 20 so time for sure is on his side ...

A new manager might want more proven striker quality for that kind of money ... if we had two good strikers (City, Utd, Chelski) then OK, but we're still playing catch-up in the striker department ....

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham lose ground in race for Moussa Dembele - EXCLUSIVE

AC MILAN have emerged as rivals to Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea in the race to land highly rated Celtic striker Moussa Dembélé.

Celtic are struggling top hold onto Dembélé this summer after a stunning first season in Scottish football.

The £40 million rated French under-21 international scored 17 goals to help Celtic win the SPL without losing a match.

Premier League scouts have regularly been keeping tabs on the former Fulham hit man who is still only 20.

Celtic held off Chelsea who wanted to sign him during the last transfer window who are still keen on the signing.

But Milan have started to show an interest in Dembélé and have sounded out his representatives to see if he is keen on a move to Italy.

And they are set to make an official offer which will mean that the London trio will have to join the bidding or miss out.

I hope and pray we don't sign him

So much better out there, the SPL is nothing more than a mickey mouse joke league. Celtic would hit teams for 5 or 6 goals every weekend and then shipped 7 goals to Barcelona. :rofll:

My gran would probably get double figures in Scotland.

Steer clear.

Even John Hartson hit 25 league goals for Celtic in one season. And that was when they had some competition from Rangers.
That league is a procession, bloody joke.

Dembele enjoyed a brilliant season (Getty)
Moussa Dembele has teased fans about his future with a series of tantalising social media posts in which he promised a ‘big announcement’.

The striker enjoyed an exceptional season with Celtic which has led to intense speculation that he is destined for a big-money move.

The conversation with Manchester United duo that persuaded Alvaro Morata to join
Among those linked with a deal are Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City.

It is little surprise considering he banged in 32 goals in 48 appearances for the Scottish champions. The season before he scored 15 goals in the Championship for Fulham.

Talk of a move had been played down by Dembele however the France Under-21 international now seems destined for a switch.

He posted on Instagram: ‘FanLuv, big announcement alert soon! Stay tuned! #BigMoveAlert #Dembelition #InVIncibleOnTheWay.’

He also posted a selfie on Snapshat with the caption: ‘On my way to … ?’

In addition his agent posted a picture of a suitcase and another of Dembele pulling a suitcase at an airport with the hashtags: #ImUpToSomething #BigMeetingAlert #BigMoveAlert.

In addition to interest from the Premier League, AC Milan, Marseille and Borussia Dortmund have all been linked with the 20-year-old in recent weeks.

If we would have already a world class striker and we would need an understudy, he would be one of the best candidates. With our striker situation I'm not so sure about him.
We could regret not being in for him, but it's also a risk to buy him.

Probably we aren't the buyers anyway
