He actually started off as a right footed left back at Empoli. Has well over 60 appearances on the left, but only has featured on that position 4 times at Napoli.

Would be great to have an Azpilicueta type of player who can cover both positions, so i'm all for it as soon as long as we sign a forward and a centre back first.

Elseid Hysaj’s agent urged Napoli to offer him a new contract, but noted “Arsenal are on the same level.”

The Albania international has impressed so far at Euro 2016 and in his maiden season with the Partenopei.

“He has to remain at Napoli for at least another year, as the Champions League enables you to become a complete player,” agent Mario Giuffredi told Radio Crc.

It has been reported Arsenal are preparing an offer worth £15m.

“I consider Arsenal to be on the same level as Napoli, certainly not better. Napoli have become one of the most important clubs in Europe.

“Obviously if in a year or so an offer arrives worth €30m, then at those figures a player is generally sold. For now the player should be locked down and made happy to remain at Napoli, because then he brings benefits to the team too.

“We are not asking for anything, as he is grateful to Aurelio De Laurentiis, but certain things need to be re-evaluated because his value has changed.

“He needs to be put on a par with his teammates on an economic level. We are not interested in stirring up trouble over a contract renewal, as he’ll have it at the opportune moment.”
