That's naive. He's apparently rejected Barca, Real, Brazil, and City.

Cool story. Apparently means nothing to me mate.

Meanwhile he has consistently lied to fans for the past 10 years. Over and over and over again. f***ked us over in his own special interests

Considering City's pursuit of Pep, it would be naive to think that they didn't try to go for Wenger

It would be naive to think that him staying here makes him loyal

His own special interests? Yeah, like he owns Arsenal, no? That's a very eschewed way of looking at things.

Wenger isn't perfect and has his set of flaws. And, he could have done a better job. Claiming that he's not loyal to Arsenal is far from the truth. It's not always about the money. He could earn as much as he does here anywhere.

The 10 years of lie coincided with the Emirates move. What exactly do you expect him to say? That we're small-time (until a few seasons ago) and can't compete with the big boys? Well, he's always insinuated that, hasn't he?

He'd get 8m a year at Real Madrid for sure then be sacked when they finish 4th and out of the CL in last 16 and his next job wouldn't be worth 8m anymore.

He stays cos he knows long term he can make money with limited pressure

If Wenger were available in the summer, ManU would have captured him already. He's not the best in winning trophies. But when it comes to leading clubs and ensuring a certain amount of consistency, he's right up there.

The point isn't that though. He remained loyal to Arsenal even when he was the best and most-wanted manager in the world. His tactical frailties today isn't related to loyalty.

Lucas Perez > Vardy

Cheaper, younger, more technically gifted, more versatile, not a racist yob.

What racist?

Jamie Vardy fears the racism storm in which he was engulfed last summer has left a "permanent stain" against his name which is "worse than a criminal record".

The 29-year-old England international apologised last summer for a "regrettable error in judgement", soon after footage emerged which appeared to show him abusing a fellow gambler in a casino, calling him "Jap" on three occasions.

And he has stressed his remorse in his new autobiography, which is being serialised in The Sun, insisting that he was ignorant, rather than racist, but reckons some people will never forget.

"Most convictions get wiped after a period of time," he said. "But there's no way of erasing what happened in July 2015.

"The word 'racist' is a permanent stain against my name. It's worse than a criminal record.

"Some people will never forgive me. Others will accept I made a terrible mistake and recognise I have learnt from it.

"It's on YouTube when my kids type in their dad's name and it comes up 'Jamie Vardy racist'. On Google, too. It's horrible."

He added: "I like a drink and enjoy being Jack the Lad. I've had a few scraps and spent a night in a cell. I can be a pain in the a***. But one thing I'm not, and never will be, is a racist.

"I looked in the eyes of the student I verbally abused and told him that. I needed him to see how sorry I was. I wanted him to know there was ignorance, not malice or prejudice, behind the word I used.

"I was angry at the time and I'd had too much to drink but I'd never have used the word 'Jap' if I'd known it was racist."

Vardy is a racist. Unlike Suarez's case, this is not just a trumped up charge.
