Not too young. He is 25 years old and still has poor judgement and lapses in concentration.

Napoli declined 60M offer for him, meaning they are holding him for a massive price in the range of what Higuain went for.

For that kind of money, I am not sure if you want to wait for a 25 year old to improve.

He should be an instant hit which is why Chelsea backed off.

Agreed with MD.

No reason we can't just find the next Koscielny in the lower leagues/for cheap money

Really hope not. As good as some seem to think kos is now, he was awful first 2 years here and we can't risk going through that again.

Arsenal are among the clubs to have enquired about the possibility of signing Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Italian website Tuttomercatoweb is claiming that the Gunners are among the clubs keeping tabs on the defender, who was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea last summer.

Chelsea were priced out and we want to get him? Good luck with that

He's a real defender's defender and a physical monster. Deceptively quick as well.

Basically the Lukaku version of a centre back. Good at his primary job but lacks in other areas which are also not completely unimportant.

Not the best footballer, though so if you're going to use him in a back three you want 2 good ball players alongside him as stuff like this will happen from time to time;

If you take into account the current market, his 2021 contract and the De Laurentiis factor you can be sure he's not going anywhere for less than £60m.

He is not leaving regardless of money. De Laurentiis said that this year is their best chance to win title.

Arsenal puts Koulibaly in the crosshairs: observers at the San Paolo with Leipzig

"We need something in defense, our numbers are not enough and we will have to work harder." Arsene Wenger was clear at the end of the last winter market, which is why, if he will still be on Arsenal's bench at the end of the season, the chance that the Gunners will invest big figures next summer would not be so remote. And the first goal of the English list has a clear name and surname: Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Naples power plant is one of the best around the continent, whose age-quality-price ratio makes one's eyes strain. That's why, as also reported by the English newspaper Express, some of the coach's emissaries were at the San Paolo last Thursday to look more closely at the French-Senegalese, in Naples for four seasons and now able to achieve important level of maturation in view also of the World Cup that will play with Senegal in spring.

Not just Koulibaly, however, because Arsenal's interest in Timo Werner is not a secret: the 1996 German is one of the most interesting players around Europe, he's still doing well with the Leipzig shirt but he's ready to change house at the end of the year. The two goals of the San Paolo, right against Koulibaly, have confirmed the good hopes. Interest also for Insigne? The Neapolitan is certainly followed in the Premier, its value is known also outside the national borders, but it seems difficult a market offensive for him at the end of the season.

Shades of Rooney with that first touch.
