Since the Xhaka deal is likely happening, there's no way we would spend big on yet another midfielder. Not the Arsenal way.

From Sky Sports

"Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has denied reports Arsenal have made an offer for Granit Xhaka.

Sky Sports News HQ reported Arsenal’s interest in Xhaka in March, and on Wednesday reports in Germany claimed they were close to signing the Switzerland international.

“There is no official offer,” he told Kicker. “But Granit Xhaka is an issue. It’s clear he has generated interest at other clubs.

“We have to wait and see what happens.”

Typical :sneaky2:

This seems like a total non-starter unless we sell Ozil.

Another player whose best position is 'in the hole'. Just what we don't need so will probably happen.

Thats what people said about alexis and he wasn't. If we got james i reckon mesut would be stuck on the wing.

Think James has played more on the wing than Mesut ever has at Madrid.

Yeah but its Wenger, it'd be some sort of experiment that he'd continue with for a couple of years!

was more of a joke as i assume we have no chance of getting him. they most likely want similar money what they invested into him

No thanks, unless Özil is off and we're looking to change our approach by signing a less creative attacking midfielder who has more goals in him.

0 mins in the final.

I saw Zidane throw in a couple of nobodies over him in the match.

He is definately out of Madrid as long as Zidane is there.

Zidane does not fancy him at all.
