Approximately ten seconds after first reading the initial snippet proclaiming our interest in signing Locatelli, I knew that it was just another one of those bovine excrement media generated stories otherwise known as click bait.

I for one am not complaining that it was simply fake news and that not for a nanosecond had he even thought of Arsenal FC much less considered a transfer here.

Yes, without doubt he is a very good player, but not one we should've been pursuing in-order to address the chronic deficiencies of our team unless the intention is to re-develop it in a completely different direction and format based on a five man midfield.

Obviously it was only the euros, but he didn't look to have the game needed for the PL.
