Played almost every minute in Wolves CHAMPIONSHIP side and looked good rated 7.20 by OPTA ... has played 3 EPL seasons since and signed a long contract, problem is he's not quite cutting it dropped to 3,000 minutes in 19/20 rated 6.82 and dropped to just 2,680 minutes last year rated 6.81 ...

He's the very definition of a mid-table squad player .... Wolves want his remaining three years off their books, I wonder why?

In the PL last season, only three players played more minutes for wolves and he was their joint top scorer with Neto (both scoring 5).

If it's between him and Bissouma, I'd take the later. Not really impressed with him. It's the kind of signing Arsenal fans would complain about wasting money on, a season and a half later.

I've watched Wolves many times but never really paid close attention. Get Pedro Neto instead and bin Aubameyang.

Sure, but they're both midfielders so its not like comparing Auba with Rob Holding.

Also as well you can compare types of players, would we not say that KDB is a better player than Elneny?

Different roles but both midfielders and its more about quality and the level of the player.

So I'm comfortable stating Buendia is a better player than Neves, midfielders with different roles regardless.

But if Neves is more a Ceballos replacement and not a "buying Neves because we missed out on Buendia" then I'm not against it for that reason, I'm just not sure we should be spending anything north of £25m on a player like that.

Arsenal are closing in on a deal to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, according to Todofichajes.

The Portugal international is believed to have agreed a four-year contract with the Gunners.

A fee has yet to be agreed between the two clubs however, with Neves valued in the region of €40 million (£34m/$49m).

Why are we pumping up this guy to offer £40m?

If we only get £15m for Xhaka and £12m for Guendouzi how in the hell is Neves worth £40m??

We're the worst run club in the whole of England, we can't sell players for toffee and we have to buy at maxed out prices.

Neves is £25 - £28m max.

I mean how is he worth more than Buendia ffs or the same as what Bissouma is being touted for??
