Riyad Mahrez

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Mahrez as an attacking wise player is not at Alexis level (who is?) but he's a big step up on Theo, Iwobi and any youth player we have .... ADDING him to the squad can only make us better ..... Alexis is gone either way ....

Which is what I said earlier (regarding Welbeck / Iwobi) the problem there is we're effectively not replacing Sanchez, we're replacing deadwood.

Lemar and Mahrez sounds a lot better to me than Sanchez out, Mahrez in, its a notable step down.

We should be going for another Madrid or PSG cast off, Draxler or someone of the like, why accept a player who can't even get a bought out of Leicester for Sanchez?

If stats like goals and assists were all that mattered than Iniesta has been trash for years. Also, Mahrez plays on a far worse team put him in our team his numbers would have improved. And let’s not forget about the amount of giveaways Alexis has. Pretty easy to use stats when they only benefit your point. It’s more than that. What about the fact that we missed out on champions last season with Alexis playin?

I like Alexis. He’s a really good player. But, people talk about him like he’s fuc*** Ronaldo or Messi out there. He’s not even a top 5 player in the EPL.

Alexis was last year arguably the best player in the EPL. He's great on his day, and still better than everyone else we have bar Özil and Laca on his off days.
Mahrez is not bad, but not a good enough replacement for Alexis. We wouldn't attract a player of Alexis' caliber these days anyway.
We are the worst team of the top 6 and it isn't going to be better, if we replaced one of our best players with Mahrez.
As others said Mahrez should be the Iwobi, Theo and Welbeck replacement. This would be a needed improvement.

Iniesta is a deep playing playmaker. Alexis is a winger. Wingers are judged by their goals and assists

Mahrez has more goals and assists than hazard and couthinho since aug 2015. Not saying he is better player. But he is a class final 3rd player and we really lack production. We have to create a lot to score

Wenger doesn’t want to harm Iwobis development and is fighting to sign Walcott down to a new bumper contact
