Unsure about him. We've signed worst players for more money, but still, i don't consider him an elite centre back. He would be an upgrade to our current defensive roster, but not dramatically. If we are looking for commanding and experienced centre back, we should look elsewhere. A player like Godin would help us establis a healthy defensive line, nevermind the age.

agreed he could be better than what we have, but at 25m? no way, we should get better than him at that price.

Easily.

De Vrij, Miranda, Höwedes and Chiellini are all better defenders and will be free agents come July should they choose not extend their contracts.

Chiellini will probably sign a new deal, but you get the point.

We desperately need someone in now to steady our messy defence and I think he would be perfect.

He's got plenty of PL experience on his side and his price tag isn't that high! He's not everyones cup of tea but he knows how to defend and thats exactly what we need more than anything right now.

Jonny Evans

This signing is looking less and less daft every time we play!

I rather play with chamers mertesacker and holding. You cant deny the last 2 games has been really exciting

Lol, we thought sinking out of top 4 will drive Wenger away. At this stage, even if we get relegated, we will be stuck with Wenger.
