We should be in for Bonucci who apparently hates it at Milan but instead we are giving serious consideration to this pubber.

I honestly dont think bonnucci is a better defender than evans. Capello was bang on about him. Said he is nit a great defender. That juves system made him look good

Chiellini carried Bonucci a hell of a lot.

Evans is rubbish and not the quality we should be looking at, plus he's 30. We should be doing like Liverpool and buying someone decent in their mid 20s not a guy who will be finished in a couple years.

I can just see what he's thinking, bring in Evans short term (the guy will still cost a fair amount) and bring in that Greek nobody in 2-3 years, we've already been through that with Senderos and Djourou and look where that got us!

Good point. Silvestre came in as a stop gap for djourou and senderos, Evans comes in as a stop gap for holding and chambers.

Evans is not the quality we need, just look where West Brom are in the table.

That's where we could end up with the like's of him.

He’s available for £3m in the summer if West Brom go down. Otherwise Telegraph saying Dick Law is working on a deal to bring him in now for £20m.
