Arsenal are reportedly keen on the £14.4million transfer of Anderlecht’s teenage star Youri Tielemans.



The Gunners are always on the lookout for fresh talent and the midfielder fits the bill.

Despite only being an 18-year-old he has already made 86 appearances for the Belgian giants.

He also has featured for Belgium at every level up to the under-21 teams.

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are also pursuing a move for the youngster, according to AS.

Tielemans only recently signed a new five-year contract with Anderlecht but that has not put the Gunners off.

Wouldn't mind this as long as it doesn't keep us from bringing in what's needed. Loan him back to Anderlecht for another couple of seasons like Chelsea did with Courtois.

DLP - his strengths are his vision and passing range, hasn't really got any significant weaknesses. Pretty complete and very mature for a player of his age.

He's no Frimpong in terms of physicality but no Zelalem either. Build similar to 19 y/o Jack.

More a playmaker than a DM so not really Coq's understudy, ideally you want a DM alongside him with him dictating the play. He's got that same cool about him as Hazard, very reasurred and an excellent penalty taker as well.

Yes please...if we can get him for that price we have to do the deal...no one has a bad thing to say abt this kid one of the biggest talents in football...composed, passing range, vision, controller...might not be ready right away but it's not like we can buy a Verratti so will be worth the wait

This was only a couple of weeks after he turned 16, carried a very poorly playing Anderlecht after coming on.
