Now this would be a stupid signing. I wouldn't even sell him in FIFA 18. I'd straight release his ass.

Arsenal eye Porto winger

Arsenal are reportedly in the race to sign Porto winger Yacine Brahimi in the summer on a free transfer, with Unai Emery chasing bargains after receiving a relatively meagre recruitment budget.

Brahimi is set to be a free agent in the summer, and would thus fit the demographic Arsenal are currently looking for in terms of financial commitment. According to A Bola via TeamTalk, Watford and AC Milan are also considering a move for the winger, who turns 29 this week.

For a squad option on low wages I wouldn't mind him

Arsenal, Manchester United, Everton and Wolves have shown an interest in Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi, says Portuguese outlet Correio da Manha.

The 29-year-old midfielder can leave the Portuguese outfit for free at the end of the season and the offers are already coming in.

The report claims United, Everton and Wolves have already made proposals, while Arsenal has recently appeared as a potential destination.

I think he will be a better WF than Iwobi, Mkhy, and Ozil. Says a lot about our WF options.

Sky Sports now also reporting about contact between Arsenal and Brahimi's representatives.

Arsenal in talks to sign Algeria international Yacine Brahimi

Arsenal are in talks with attacking midfielder Yacine Brahimi, according to Sky sources.

The 29-year-old is currently a free agent after running down his contract at Portuguese side Porto.

But it is understood that personal terms on a switch to the Emirates Stadium are still a way from being agreed.

Listen to the latest episode of the Transfer Talk podcast HERE

Brahimi enjoyed the best goalscoring campaign of his career to date last season, netting 13 goals in 49 appearances as Porto finished second behind champions Benfica.

The Algeria international joined Porto from Spanish side Granada in 2014 and has since scored 53 goals in 209 matches.

Brahimi, who helped Porto win the Portuguese title in 2017/18, attracted interest from West Ham last summer.

Would rather give Reiss and Saka a proper go.

Unai has to go if this calibre of player is what we're going after.

That's not for Unai to decide. Unlike Arsène, Unai is not Arsenal manager.

A manager is a part of a football team who has complete authority over the running and functioning of the team. He has the autonomy to choose his supporting staff, along with the provision to add players to the team if he deems it necessary.

A head coach is only given the responsibility of ensuring his team putting a good performance in the match they are playing. That includes the likes of choosing a first team and training the players in specific sets of routines required for their position in the team. The management of the team is under the club board.

A 29yr old freebie, no thanks!

As said above we should give some our youngsters a go instead, this is one depressing signing if true.

This is the type of signings that has put us in bad place. 29 year old who has never impressed or is gonna improve us is being signed cause he is free. Reminds me so much of denis suarez signing. A player the club would never pay money for but we take cauae he is the cheapest option. You are better of giving minutes to youngsters like saka and ameachi ibstead of getting another big cobtract with no resale value
