News about #Carrasco: there’s an agreement between the belgian and #Arsenal. Gunners are dealing with #DalianYifang and they’re very close to finding an agreement for about 30 million + bonuses. Updates will follow.

Just carrasco alone as attacker signing is enough. Whatever else being spent should be on defence upgrades only.

Nicolò Shira is about as reliable as a lifeguard without limbs. Basically another Tancredi Palmieri.

Pietro Balzano Prota (@PBPcalcio) is reliable for Milan-related transfer news. Not quite like Ornstein/Arsenal, but he's a respected Italian journalist.

Considering Milan are/were also interested in Carrasco, PBP might've found out something from his sources at Milan about a potential agreement between Arsenal for YFC.

His age is a plus, but 2.5 middling seasons in the CSL is a big minus.

Stats are very old for carrasco but involvement in the final third is encouraging. Especially when compared to two of our more "prolific" guys outside of PEA and laca this year. Pretty damning for Iwobi tbh.

Apperantly we have offered loan with option to buy. I dont think our fans realise the financial messs we are in. We are being outbid by west ham for the lorient winger as well. Wwst ham is also signing fornals from villareal for 30 million pound. Better than any cm we linked with

Arsenal told to pay £25m for Yannick Carrasco as Dalian Yifang seek permanent summer sale
By James Olley

Dalian Yifang are demanding Arsenal pay a fee in excess of £25million to complete the signing of Yannick Carrasco.

The Gunners are keen on bringing in at least one winger this summer and have revived their interest in the 25-year-old after failing to complete a loan deal in January.

Arsenal signed Denis Suarez from Barcelona instead but he proved to be a huge disappointment in six appearances totalling just 95 minutes and has since returned to Spain.

The club have also expressed an interest in Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser but initially made contact with the Chinese Super League side over Carrasco to explore the possibility of a season-long loan with an option to buy.

Carrasco last week expressed a desire to return to Europe ahead of Euro 2020, having moved to China from Atletico Madrid in February 2018.

A temporary switch would suit Arsenal given their modest £40m transfer budget and would also allow them to reach a figure closer to the reported £8.8m-a-year wage Carrasco currently receives.

The Belgian international – who is expected to feature against Scotland in Tuesday's Euro 2020 qualifier – is thought to be willing to take a pay cut but Dalian want a straight sale to reinvest the money elsewhere.

Talks are ongoing with Arsenal hopeful of making a breakthrough. Options being discussed include staggering payments over a longer period or building in various performance related add-ons in order to reach an agreement.

Inter Milan and AC Milan were tracking Carrasco in January but have yet to make a serious offer this summer while Roma are also monitoring the situation.

Arsenal are keen to be proactive in the market but need to raise further funds through player sales to address all the vulnerable areas of Unai Emery’s team.

The club are keen on adding a centre-back, a central midfielder and a full-back.

If that is the case, how do we find ourselves out of this mess?

Mismanagement....remember in jan we spend the whole month working on one loan with no option to buy. The club knew suarez was not good enough. Now all season we had no winger andvthe winger they want is one they only want to loan and cant spend 25 million on him. People wil argue they are being smart. But logic will tell you is a club willing to loan out a player who can improve a top 4 pl team

It's simple, really. Kroenke needs to inject cash into the club so that we'll have at least £100m to spend in the summer. That gives us a well-needed boost in the transfer market.

If that doesn't happen, I don't see us finding ourselves out of this mess. If anything, things are going to get a lot worse.

If they can produce something good with little, then we should trust them with more.

If this turns out to be a great purchase along with others and some of the players we purchased last summer develop well and turn out to be key players, of course, splash the money.

I'm just wary of another regime that make bad choices which is why we're currently in this situation. Expensive duds and inflated wages.

Good thing kronke is at the helm to sort out any incompetence if it does go that route.
