This guy is already better than Cech and the gulf will only increase over the next few years. We need a super keeper to keep up in this league, since United and Chelsea have De Gea and Courtois who are worth probably 10+ points over the course of a season.

I would be very disappointed if we wasted our time going after Cech with this guy potentially available. In fact there are a number of strong young German GKs available, but Leno is the best of the lot.

He has the most potential for me. Who else apart from the obvious (Neuer) is better/has more potential?

Kevin Trapp, Ralf Fährmann, Loris Karius, Timo Horn

Honourable mentions - R. R. Zieler, MatS (plays in Spain), Diego Benaglio, Yann Sommer (both are Swiss, not German but play in the German League)

Leno is a penalty killer, I'll give you that, but he is not the best or the one with the most potentional.

Karius is another guy in particular that I think we should go for. I heard he was out of contract in the summer, or am I mistaken?

He signed a 3 year contract in January apparently. Shame.

Fährmann isn't that good imo. How is Wellenreuther?

Fährmann is extremely good, it's just that he had an injury recently. Wellenreuther replaced him and was okayish. He was great actually, but had a number of serious howlers (e.g. Hertha)

Doesn’t matter what keeper we sign if Gerry Peyton is still here

He would ruin david De Gea in one week

It's no surprise that since leaving us the likes of Almunia, Szczesny and Fabianski all seemed to show signs of improvement.

Don't understand why we didn't let Cech goalkeeper coach join us
