According to Sky Italia PSG have made a €40m bid for Nainggolan.

Not sure if they need him unless Matuidi's out his way out which looks unlikely.

Pogba said a definite no to them, allegedly. The story is that they offered him a lot of money but he said he didn't want to go back to France at this point in his career.

He has spoken fondly about Manchester and said he still has friends there, which makes me think he'll end up at City.

Ok guys did a bit of research

As y'all know Nainggolan is part owned by Cesena and Roma....having had an excellent season....Cesena are willing to cash in and have offered Roma full ownership for €17 million.

Now the problem for Roma is that they can buy him but can't keep him....they're already in deep crap over FFP(recently got fined €6 million) over the sigining of Doumbia and Itturbe both of which have proven to be disastrous ...another fear in the Roma camp is that what if they lose Nainggolan and Strootman( a favourite of LVG)?......they are willing to cash in on Nainggolan but only for a price of €40 million+.

Strengths:
-ball winner
-Sanchez-esque workrate
-injury free
-can play as CDM,CM and even Right Back

Weakness:
-asking price is €40 million+
-the vodoo that Serie A players suck in other leagues
-He's 5'9....doesn't exactly fit the CDM mold

We need a powerhouse DM and this guy isn't even close to being one....we already have players like Ramsey, Wilshere and even Cazorla now who play in his position.

This overrules all weaknesses. Seen him play multiple times on his International games, guy knows what defence means.
Would love him at Arsenal. Though 29m Pounds seems maybe a tat too much. But... we need a player like this. Matuidi or Schneiderlin wouldn't be much cheaper, if they even are.
WENGER OUT!

Coquelin (178 cm) is 2 cm taller than Nainggolan (176 cm) which is less than an inch...

Cagliari, not Cesena. ;)

Makélélé, one of the best dm's of the last 20 years was 5'7'', but he doesn't fit the DM mold either right

Nainggolan is one of the most complete midfielders in Europe and is excellent defensively and has a ton of experience in the dm position. The only con is we could use some height in our - already short - team and he doesn't offer that but if there's an outside chance we could sign him for an acceptable price we shouldn't hesitate.

I've said it before, think of him as a hybrid between Nigel de Jong, Gündogan and Vidal.
