If Edu can't curb Arteta's overzealous tendency to hoard defensive players, what's his role really?

We haven't been linked to a single attack-minded player, or a creative CM.

Arsenal are frontrunners to sign goalkeeper Neto from Barcelona, reports Mundo Deportivo.

Barca are actively looking to move a host of players on to reduce their wage bill and Neto is among those available for transfer.

Everton and Roma have previously been linked with the 31-year-old, but it is believed his agent has already opened talks with the Gunners over a potential deal.

The comment of our entire window.

We're linked with nothing but no-namers.

Only Ben White and he's a Brighton player who we probably won't get, not exactly Sanchez or even Cazorla.

The two players we look to def be signing Lokongo and Tavarres, I'm not even excited by, to any other team they're filler players.

I bet Lokongo isn't even better than Elneny.

I didn't even know who Ben white was until we were linked with him but that's the type of players we need to bring with no eruopean football and hope they are gems

Really, really hoping beyond hope that Leno has gone away and done some real deep meditation and soul searching enabling him to clamber out of the muddy ditch of dispair, doubt, underachievement and unfulfilled potential that the unforseen and meteoric rise of Emi Martinez has since flipped him into like a works M3 having lost control on a RAC rally stage.

If not and with little to no time for self pity and lack of a mentality striving for excellence and success, now would be the opportune time to prise the Brazilian away from the Basque region with the challenge of being the best South American keeper in the Premier League as well as the most aptly named.

Sign him up. Literally 3 weeks till the window closes and we are going in with 1 PL quality keeper.

Makes zero sense to sign Ramsdale for a fortune, he will not even have Europa games to participate in.

Barcelona's 32-year-old Brazil goalkeeper Neto could make a permanent move to Arsenal this summer, but a loan move is also a possibility. (Athletic - subscription required)

With Bernd Leno seemingly edging towards the exits at Arsenal, Sport report that the Gunners want to take Neto on loan from Barcelona.

Mikel Arteta is aware of the need to get another experienced option in to provide competition and cover for Aaron Ramsdale
