As widely reported Arsenal in talks to sign Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira. No agreement but central midfield a priority & 22yo Uruguay int’l seen as ideal fit technically + financially. #AFC also want a GK after defensive signings of Lichtsteiner & Sokratis (announced July)

He's probably only going to appear as a sub, so that's not really a danger. Napoli was in for him but they didn't want to match what he/his agent demanded I think.

It's not Arsenal, it's Dortmund 'holding' the deal up. They won't accept the bid until July 1 for accounting reasons.

They may want to capture the revenue of the sale when their new fiscal year starts (July 1).

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has revealed that Arsenal have yet to finalise a deal for Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Zorc expects the Greek defender to move to the Emirates Stadium eventually, but talks have now dragged on for more than a month.

Arsenal's head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has worked with Sokratis in the past, and views the 30-year-old as a potentially valuable addition in north London.

A month ffs

Wenger lives on

Understandable.

Bayern Munich controls most of their players anyways.
