'It is believed that Arsenal have made contact with Hoffenheim over a move, but that their offer falls short of the German's valuation of the player.'

I don't see where he'd fit in unless someone were to leave, but he's supposed to be good.

Main position:
Attacking Midfield

Secondary positions:
Right Wing
Left Wing

According to Transfermark.

I don't watch much of the Bundesliga so I don't know him but he's supposed to be very good.

Need a DM........buy an attacking midfielder

I'd assume it's yet another completely fabricated story. If it isn't we'll end up with the kind of midfield "the special one " was dreaming of. One for PL and one for CL.

+100
(I'm assuming there's at least 99 other people here that simply hate his club and what it stands for)

I will be over be the moon if we signed him.

He is a complete player with world class potential.

He is not really an attacking midfielder, more of a second striker like reus and messi.

He reminds me of reus when he was in his Mönchengladbach's days.

His final third contribution is splendid with good finishing unlike most of the traditonal AM like silva and ozil.
He has decent height, 1.81m, good pace and more importantly high work rate as he likes to tackle to regain the ball.

He had been playing on left wing, behind the striker and right wing for them.
His dribbling skills is extraordinary and his off the ball movement is good.
His link up play is very good, coupled with his accurate finishing, i think he can be mould into the perfect forward for Arsenal.
Or he can easily displace Cazorla/Podolski on the left as he is like a combo of them both, with the passing, creavity, dribbling and most importantly scoring.

Our left side over the years has not been as prolific since the days of Pires and Cole.
We rely too much on Walcott and Sagna(now Debuchy) from the right side to break teams up.

If, IF, we can get Firmino and Ricardo Rodriguez to replace monreal and cazorla/podolski, we might get a left side with a balance of attack and defense
for the coming years.

However, the priority now must be a DM, and after that, hopefully are Firmino and Ricardo Rodriguez as they show too much promise with peanut value (around 10M, at most 15M) to be missed. Dont really have faith in Gibbs' injury record.

sorry but i dont agree. I've seen him play a few times and he spends most of the game losing the ball going on unrealistic dribbles or trying unlikely passes and then gets something right and scores. He's not a player for a big club and most importantly we do not need him.

Yes he may or may not become a striker but if we are to convert someone i'd rather sanchez who imo is 3x the player.

His decision making will surely get improved sooner or later.

But he is an offensive player, and thus he takes risks.

If i were to pick, for instance, in between denilson's safe passing and cesc 's killer through balls, or course i will choose the latter.
We have missed the courage of fabregas and Song's killer passes in recent years which will most likely results in a clear cut chance with the keeper.

Direct dribbling is always a plus for offensive players, not fancy too much of Giroud's backpasses :).
