Arsenal are on the trail of Hoffenheim's £20m-rated Brazilian playmaker Roberto Firmino, 23, as they fear losing Santi Cazorla with the 30-year-old tipped for a return to Spain. (People)

Not surprised we are linked with him. i said Wenger during the Monaco match was thinking we could do with an attacking midfielder

He's a quality player to be fair, if Santi does depart this summer he'd be a good acquisition.

Another short 'not really a striker, not really a winger, not really a CM, likes to play in the hole' type. I can see this happening!

If Cazorla goes then he should be replaced with a more combative midfielder, even if it is a more attacking player, that player needs to have an element of physicality to his game.

Yep....he doesnt seem to understand what balance mean. All he wants is to fit in as many attacking midfielders in a team as possible....the sad thing is both ox and sanchez play their best football in the middle. every midfielder bar Theo is central player and theo wants to play in the middle. So did Podolski and so does Welbeck. Why doesnt he sign a wide player who wants to play out wide....its not that diffucult

Firmino is quite physical. Extremely tenacious and offers high defensive workrate, a bit like Oscar.

Can't quite see how he would fit at Arsenal though. And 20M is quite unrealistic, he's easily worth 30M+. One of the most consistent performers in the Bundesliga.

Without Champions League football, Inter are unlikely to be able to secure a move for Roberto Firmino. The Hoffenheim midfielder is now likely to join a Premier League with with Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City all interested.

Omg first Özil, then possibly Firmino. I don't know if I could handle it if two of my favorite players joined us :cloud9:

I know Firmino is traditionally an AM, but I would seriously consider giving him a run of games at CF. Could be our next world class CF.

I think he could play CF for us just as well as he's played there for Brazil recently...
His speed, finishing, & movement are all better than Giroud's. He'd no doubt be an upgrade.
Can also handle himself on the field of wings better than Ramsey & Wilshere can :dontknow:
Wenger loves his versatile attackers, I think he'd be a good signing if we were actually in for him.

Flattered that Liverpool admit that they're a smaller club than us
