honestly no....first half he did nothing and west ham did nothing until they got their goal in the last few mins of the half we were clearly the better team. In 90 mins he completed 21 passes. Basically he was just infront their CB and even Bilic said after the match I played him because he is a CB and I wanted someone who could cover the CB and when needed play as 3rd CB. Because he was 16 people talk about it. If a 22 year old did that no one would have noticed

We used to say that about Gilberto Silva.

He's supposedly a CB who was played in DM. His job was to protect the back four and as we didn't create anything I'd say he did his job well! Especially when the players in that area would have been ozil, cazorla and ramsey who all had bad games!

for 16 year old rookie yeah. he was amazing he just did his job we were beat by their shape.

95% pass rate 3 tackles,3 interceptions a few bad passes. But for 16 year old rookie at emirates about 70 minutes game time where you win thats awesome.

Interesting point. Sometimes I get caught too up in our team e.g. when watching a boxing match one tends to focus on their fighter!
