He's being released, apparently. Looks like it'll be between Casillas and Navas for that number one spot next year.

They can't sell Casillas, the fans will rage. He will have to either win his place back or leave at the end of his contract/career.

Same for Ramos.

Agreed. I think Casillas will start as their number one and if his form continues to dip then Navas will be drafted in. Either way he should be number one before long.

Yes, Ancelotti said Casillas will be number 1 until the UEFA Super Cup 'and after that we'll see'.

In a poll by AS.com, with more than 23 000 votes, Navas was wanted as number 1 by 53% of the voters (Lopez on 29% and Casillas 17%.) That probably included a lot of votes from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid fans, though.

No thanks. Should have got him in the summer if at all.

Best keeper in La Liga. The ideal move would be De Gea to Madrid, Szczesny to Legia Warsaw and Keylor to us

Has he even played this season?

Cup games, should've been starting regularly but Casillas picked up his form. Was voted keeper of the year last season in La Liga too; Madrid probably wasn't the best option with their frustrating reluctance to get rid of Saint Iker

The same Casillas that was number 2 for much of last season?

Real have proven that if you play shit, you get dropped. Unfortunately for Navas, Casillas has as you say been on form.

Casillas played the CL games though last season, think Navas is literally only getting domestic cup games or those against lesser opponents. Shame really, I rate him as definitely one of the best in the World and would love to have him as number 1 here.

Navas can't talk to an in form Casillas - one of the all time greats. Rightly on the bench.

Keylor Navas has quashed Arsenal and Manchester United transfer talk by stating a desire to honour his contract at Real Madrid.
