Arsenal boss Unai Emery is hoping to secure the signature of Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas next year, according to Ok Diario.

The Costa Rican has fallen out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu since Thibaut Courtois arrived from Chelsea during the summer and he now wants to secure regular playing time elsewhere.

Emery is a keen admirer of Navas and he could be brought in as a replacement for veteran shot-stopper Petr Cech, with his current market value set at €13m ($15m, £12m).

Would be a good buy, he's a big step up from Cech, Leno and Ospina, Good shot-stopper, plenty of experience against the likes of Messi, Griezemann, Costa, etc.

He’s bid farewell to Madrid fans. Reports that we’ve bought him for 16MM.

Read earlier that we've already bid £12m for him. Kind of a BS source, so I'm not posting here (90Min, popped up on my FotMob alerts).

Hoping it happens, but I'm wondering who would be our #1 if he arrives.

I think it’s a good thing. With Cech certain to retire in summer, Navas and Leno can fight it out for number one.

Would be an instant upgrade on all of our goalkeeping options but this rumour makes no sense given that;

* We spent a lot (for us) on Leno this summer, and;
* We've bugger all money to spend in January, and;
* There's plenty of other positions that need strengthening more.

I wouldn't complain if we got him but getting in a new goalkeeper this window should not be a priority.

Unai 'doesn't know' whether we're interested in him or not. Says everything you need to know about the man

Just like Sarri didn't know anything about Pulisic

I guess it tells us everything we need to know about both men whatever it is
