Even if I think he's overrated af, Dele would have shone under Wenger.

Arteta is different. Dele wouldn't work well in Arteta's philosophy.

The ball breaks down to much with him for me, Wenger was about keeping the ball, Alli is a bit Ramsey like for me.

Alli is a drifter in games who has a class moment every now and again which keeps his name in the mix. Recently he has been that but without the moments. I remember Jermaine Jenas having an honest interview a year or two ago saying when he looks back he knows he could have been better and could have done more in his career. I think that Alli will end up one of those players too.

He has talent but he has never seemed to have the right mentality to nourish it. He could never take on the responisibility Grealish has at Villa in recent years, even if he has had more England time and has mostly been seen as the better player (until very recently).

Even Jose saw what was happening, called him out on it and got nothing in return (a bit like spurs last season).

We were never linked w/ him. He has discipline problems and a huge ego based on his performances from 3 years ago, so I don't see why Arteta would want him to begin with.
