We've had him for years. Isn't he like 35 now?

reports in brazil that we'll buy him back for a minimal fee, loan him to bordeaux then eventually sell him for bigger £££ or we might sell him to bordeaux outright

Any reason mentioned as to why Fluminense wouldn't sell him straight to Bordeaux, rather than losing out on a what is a great deal of money for them?

Or do we hold the cards because of a buyback clause?

Shameful. So much for club values that Wenger talks about.

Morally I agree. There's nothing more disgusting than stockpiling players who will never make it at your club, to consign them to a life on loan before selling for profit.

Realistically, we just can't keep up with Chelsea and man u and city if we don't do this bullshit. If you actually look at Chelseas transfer profits, a decent chunk is made up of moves like this and it's served them well.

We have to be in a position where we have loan squads to make money off or to block other clubs from players that could actually help them in the long run.

I take comfort in the fact that if he was good enough, he would have gotten game time with us but obvs the scouting team have seen something that suggests otherwise.

Good luck to him.

This guy has been treated like dirt by Arsenal. We bought him thinking he'd be the next Neymar. When he didnt get a work permit in England, we flogged him around Europe on loan. He was just a kid at the time, having difficulties with his parents and struggling to acclimatize. He moved back to Brazil and we kept a stake in him like he were a property. He's finally settled down and wants to move on with his life and career and we are trying to figure out some elaborate arrangement to make money off him. Fck Wenger and Gazidis and their so called values. We are no better than Chelsea and less effective at this to boot.
