With Ramsey gone and Ozil likely to leave in the summer, we're already saving £470k in wages per week. Cech is retiring so that makes it £570k.

If we want him, we will have to offer him £350k in wages minimum. Because of his attitude and his helicopter mom, most big clubs wouldn't like to have someone as erratic. In contrast, we don't have the star power or the profile to attract world class players right now. He might be our best bet even if he's not all that he's made to be.

Even if we offer him £400k a week, we'd still be spending from the Ozil/Ramsey money. The rumored £40m would be in tact. But wages would be a massive issue.

Not advocating that we pay him £400k though. Just laying it down.

If we could get him to agree a deal around £250-300k a week, it'd be a stellar buy. He's 10x the player Xhaka is and we don't have the funds to go for better options.

Torreira
Guendouzi - Rabiot
Pepe - Lacazette - Auba

That's sick.

What you're describing is possible, but will never happen. We can't get rid of Ozil as it is; if it happens in the summer, we won't just go out and buy another temperamental mid on a bonkers salary.

Emery has said that CBs are the priority. We will get a CM almost certainly, but the budget will go towards getting a good CB.

He would be perfect, he has Ramsey's qualitys, younger, plus much more effective defensively.

However i think he will demand a Ramsey style Juve contract, and i don't think in our current situation we should be paying that sort of wage.

I think its almost certain that his agent (his mother? lol) will look at the Ramsey deal and argue that point with any club looking at him.

rabiot is not what we need. We need more creativity in central midfield. I am so fed up with everything we do is pass to the wide men. We cant create anything centrally

That ain't gonna happen.

Emery's CMs have rarely been the creative type. His game plan is all about wing play and overlapping FBs.

Even when he has someone creative, like Banega, he necessitates them to work as B2B players.

Yeah i agree with that, which seems to be why he has trouble playing Ozil and often sticks him out wide and why he probably signed Suarez, cos he likes his creativity from the wider positions.

Banega is a very box to box style playmaker anyway, never stops chasing the ball down from what i seen in the world cup, i bet hes a red card magnet.

In the world cup he looked almost like Torreira with his defensive tenacity/work rate.

I'd like Ndombele or Doucoure over Rabiot, but those 2 would cost 50m+, Rabiots wages will be crazy, so its probably why hes looking at Nkunku.

Phenomenal progressive midfielder, but obviously questionable attitude that stems from a really tough years since a teenager

Rabiot has said he wants CL football, so we need to win the EL to have any chance, do that and this deal is very possible ... when you consider that PSG are one of the very few clubs who could afford Ozil's salary ... it becomes the perfect swap deal ....

↑ You can't 'swap' Özil for a player who will not even be on PSG's books come July.

Rabiot's contract expires June 30th.

Ozil was offered a loan deal by PSG in Jan, said no. Don't see why he would move now, he seems fine with EL football.

Why does your world revolve around Ozil?
