Wenger claims that we lost out on Griezmann and Kante because we weren't "rapid enough."
Oh wow, is it really so, Sherlock? It's more of a case of Wenger's legendary dillydally than anything else. The man simply cannot decide and probably sits in his office—contemplating if Welbeck's as good as Hazard.
If Wenger were pondering on whom to sign—Welbeck or Hazard:
- Welbeck can play as a striker better than Hazard.
- Welbeck is a ManU reject. Always a positive at Arsenal.
- Welbeck works harder than Hazard.
- Can sub in as a wing back if needs must.
- Is super international class.
- Is English.
In Hazard's favor:
- Hazard is world class. With world class players, comes world class fees/wages.
- Hazard is a match winner.
- Hazard is elite level.
- Not a ManU reject.
- Doesn't defend well or track back.
- No use as a wing back.
That's 60 days worth of contemplation for Wenger. On Day 61, we buy Danny Welbeck, or bring Yaya Sanogo for free.
What excruciatingly busy summer, what sheer hardwork, what tenacity on display.
