They have plenty of space for a top class striker, you don't pass up the opportunity to sign players like him.
Next season Man U will be much stronger, Mourinho usually takes a couple seasons to get his team right. Spurs won't sell Kane anyhow and if they did it wouldn't be to Man U.

They have plenty of space for a top class striker, you don't pass up the opportunity to sign players like him.

the last time mourinho had a small striker up top was back in the porto days and even then he had two up top
no chance he reverts to that when his squad fits a 433, griezmann up front on his own is a massive risk for them

Mourinho is very strong tactically, I'm sure he knows what he's doing if he were to sign him and would plan accordingly.
