Please make this happen

This guy is 26.

What a signing this would be.

But to even have the slightest chance to sign him playing in the Champions League next season is a must.
Wembley:
Community Shield @6-8-'23 = 1*-1 Manchester City

Emirates Stadium:
First game @10-9-'11 = 1 - 0 Swansea
Most memorable game @24-2-'22 = 2 - 1 Wolves
Last game @09-03-'24 = 2 - 1 Brentford
Next game @03-04-'24 = VS Luton [ Block 121 - Seat 847 ]

Would love Alaba here but we probably don’t have a chance of signing him.

Regardless of if we have a chance or not though, our focus should be on not wasting this opportunity to bring in a potentially world class LB that not many have their eyes on and before the vultures start circling. Assuming there is such a player playing right now.

Unai Emery will hope the two star defenders can solve his side's defensive issues

Bayern Munich's David Alaba and Barcelona's Samuel Umtiti are the star names on Arsenal's summer shortlist, according to the Independent.

The Gunners are looking to bring in up to five players, and strengthening the defence is considered a top priority.

Both players would be open to exits as their clubs have reinforced in their positions and have also made big-money acquisitions that may need to be offset by player sales.

Bayern have recently splashed out on left-sided Atletico Madrid defender Lucas Hernandez, while Barcelona are consistently linked with centre-half Mathijs de Ligt, having already spent big on his Ajax team-mate Frenkie de Jong.

People are buzzing if they think we are getting Alaba.

This is simple click bait to get arsenal fans pissed off over the summer again.

We should be signing 1 top tier player a season. They can't all be projects if we expect to progress.

We should but, if we did, then we would most likely not be buying any other players of note.

Considering the rumored budget, it needs to be allocated between projects and players who can do the job we need without costing an arm and a leg imo. If, however, a player who can single-handedly deliver us the PL or CL becomes available, then I would not mind blowing the entire budget on that player. But how many players out there can do that and are within the rumored budget?

True but have you seen some of the other names we have been linked too? Christ lol. This would be massive pipe dream yeh but this instantly gives us a special talent.

Without the right scouts and negotiators things can go downhill very quickly and easily for sure, but we need to go back to when Wenger would bring in a Cesc, van Persie, or Nasri along with players like a Koscielny, Cazorla, or Monreal. Given the budget Emery probably has to work with, a left back version of Wan-Bissaka for a couple million less than what he’s going for, for example, would be better than an Alaba for probably twice the amount. If we can afford to bring in Alaba without compromising other positions then it’d be no problem but I can’t see this being the case.

100% I agree with you. I'm not counting players that Sven brought in as guys Raul's brought in. So far it's been Dennis Suarez for the new regime even if it's just a loan. Don't understand why we couldn't give Sven that stupid meaningless title.

Alaba would be Brilliant for use could play in mid aswell. We need a cb lb and winger all great players I'd even sell ozil to facilitate this but would prefer to keep him maybe if we can get a mobile cdm destroyer type that would good
