I think we will regret not being in for him. He's still only 26 and would link up well with Xhaka and Lichsteiner. Plus he is pacey on the wings and has a tremendous long range shot on him.

Zaha will never be cheap.

Zaha is comparable to Yannick Bolasie. Very fast down the wings but not much end product; good at hold-up play definitely.

Shaqiri's style is different and a better fit for us. He is a huge threat outside the box, like Alexis or Podolski, (if a lot more inconsistent). Having him as a wide player would allow for him to take the goalscoring pressure off of Ozil. He'd also be an excellent rotation option if Mikhitaryan gets injured, which is more likely than not.

I'm happy with our transfers but 14m is a steal.
