Marco Reus

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

will be 28 by the time the summer transfer window rolls around.
He has a massive decision to make; either stay at Dortmund and play out a relatively insignificant career finishing like 2nd-5th in the bundesliga for the coming years, or he could move away, treble his money and play for one of the biggest clubs in the world playing alongside the world's best and winning the big stuff.

So why would he move to Arsenal and continue a relatively insignificant (For a player like him) career finishing 2nd to 5th in the PL?

I was referring to sides like Chelsea, City, United, PSG etc who will be after him.
the only way Reus comes here is if he has some weird thing for Wenger like Ozil and Sanch seem to have

Plus Reus isn't exactly on mega bucks

Could want his last major contract to have a hefty pay

Or he could come to Arsenal and play out a relatively insignificant career finishing like 2nd-4th in the premier league for the coming years ;)

He is not going anywhere.

He has already rejected a couple of transfer moves in last couple of years.

He is too loyal to Dortmund and we cannot offer him anything in terms of team success that Dortmund cant to make him re-consider.

Thanks for giving us the inside track there mr mike dean.
I am glad you can speak with such assertiveness on the issue, your sources inside bvb must really have a good track record of getting things correct.

As if.
If a 300K/week comes in from City or United maybe he will bolt it, maybe he won't. Fact is none of us have any idea what he will be doing next, so stop pretending you do.

While your guess is based on some other teams (not even Arsenal, and for good reason) throwing massive amount of money at him to lure him, neither of those two teams (Man City or ManU) listed is looking to upgrade his position btw, my claims are actually based on what has happened.

On more than one occasion, Reus has declined to move away from Dortmund when he had the opportunity to.

So back to my original points..

1) Arsenal cant offer him anything in terms of team success that Dortmund cant
2) Arsenal arent going to throw unlimited amount of money at him
3) He likes Dortmund and is loyal to them
4) The top tier EPL teams that can throw money at him arent looking to upgrade that position

You do the math.

If you are going to use the lets throw $$$$/week at a player and get him, well in that case I guess even Ronaldo and Messi are available. But that scenario is not based on reality.

Borussia Dortmund's Germany forward Marco Reus, 27, and Porto's Portugal striker Andre Silva, 21, have also been lined up by Arsenal to replace Sanchez. (Daily Mail)

Good to hear he is still alive and breathing - completed merely 5 games in all competitions this season.

Only Greizmann would be an equal replacement.
