Alvaro Morata

Muppet John Cross reported this November 2012...

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... ta-1432950

various reports say he has a 60 odd m pounds release clause in his contract.

reason I bring this up is because we need a striker and while we're at RM why not go for him too if he's available for a fee much lower than his release clause. i like the guy. not exactly that small'ish agile type we all want but he is clinical and only 20. RM offered this guy to Tottenham according to Guillem Balague as part of the Bale deal but the player refused. Morata got raved at the Euro u21s tournament and it really did surprise me RM were willing to let go of him.

Madrid won't let him go. They feel he has a bright future and were adamant that he wouldn't go to Spurs during the Bale negotiations.

ye please.

Mourinho on Morata: “The one who gave him his debut? That was me,” he said. “The one who made sure he was part of the pre-season tour three years running? That was me. The one that made sure he did not leave the club? That was me. The one who told the club they should give him a first team contract? That was also me.”

Do you know when? Balague said last week RM asked Morata if he wanted to be part of the Bale deal but he refused.

It was around the time that there was a lot of speculation that Levy wanted him, so 3-4 weeks ago.

Ye I reckon he is. He's only 20 and clinical. He'd score for fun with creativity.

Arsenal keep tabs on Spurs target Morata as Wenger eyes January loan move for Madrid's young striker
By SAMI MOKBEL | PUBLISHED: 09:45, 28 November 2013 | UPDATED: 15:44, 28 November 2013
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... orata.html

Arsenal are being kept updated on the availability of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The 21-year-old striker, who is also a target for Tottenham, may be allowed to leave on loan in January. And Arsenal, who are also watching Schalke’s talented 18-year-old midfielder Max Meyer, are interested in the Spain Under 21 forward as they look to bolster their forward options in the new year. Morata has scored twice in 11 appearances this season but manager Carlo Ancelotti is only prepared to let him go if Madrid can sign a new striker. Luis Suarez and Robert Lewandowski are the sort of calibre player that Madrid are looking for and the former wanted to join them in the summer. According to rumours in the Spanish capital, if Madrid can sign a new striker then the door will be open for Morata's loan move. The Gunners are short on options up front, while Spurs are desperate to boost a strikeforce in which the lead man is Roberto Soldado, who has not performed well after signing for £26million this summer. Morata was on target for Madrid on Saturday when they beat Almeria 5-0, with Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco and Karim Benzema also on the scoresheet for Ancelotti's side.

Real Madrid will have to sell if they sign another striker. A loan could be possible even if Real Madrid don't sign a striker in January. I'd take him, he would offer more than Bendtner, I'm not sure how Sanogo will get on.

He will be hungry and desperate to prove himself good enough for Madrid so i would definitely take him on loan.
