If he does indeed have a buyout clause and when triggered, Spurs aren't legally able to block the deal from happening.

What happens when two clubs match the buyout clause, or some club like ManU came in and offered £30m instead, or higher?

It's down to the player, or can the club ignore one of the offers?

Exactly, clearly if he's got any sense he'll be going anywhere but to us. Poor old Sol got hammered for years and probably still does.....who would want that?

2 league titles
2 fa cups
He should worry
Professional footballers go wherever is best for there career
Were I player that is exactly what I would do
I love Arsenal with every ounce of my being but if that best decision was Spurs I would do it without any reservation
All this booing ex players and judging them on where they go is a load of old bollocks
It's up to us as a club to make the best option Arsenal

That is because you're old and wise Starman. The people doing most of the booing are young and stupid!

Though this scenario rarely occurs, It'd be down to the player.

Zedie explained it properly on the previous page.

Is it too bad for Arsenal to consider Toby if the rumored 25mil release clause has any substance?

Apparently his temporary release clause of £25m, which became active at the start of this transfer window, expired today.

not in theory, but it's kinda suspect that in this inflated market, an experienced PL CB was available for £25m and still no one bit.

Yeah, I'm surprised by that too.

Maybe his wages demand was a mad one.
