Cesc is far more proven than verrati and he knew our style. Plus he was quite cheap.

We need a powerful midfielder because if coquelin goes down it's good night for us.

We have loads of technical midfielder, maybe verrati is better but 60m is a waste. Cazorla could be here for years to come why you say only one more year?

Santi is going back to Spain nxt year...and if he stays he sure as hell isn't starting for us...
What you don't seem to get is we didn't need Cesc we have those types of players...Verratti isn't like them just because he's small I'm starting to think you've never seen him play.

coquelin goes down so what? play Ramsey and Verratti ahead of Arteta, they can protect him...or play them as a dbl pivot, or play Ramsey and Wilshere ahead of Verratti...these are the endless possibilities he would bring because of his intelligence, passing, tackling and his ability under pressure.

Where you getting this idea that cazorla is hundred percent leaving next year any reliable source or quotes?

I seen verrati play he gets stuck in well but he plays with Motta, matuidi guys like that. Ramsey, arteta/jack/ozi! with verrati is lightweight stuff for the pl.

I prefer a beast like kondogbia or Morgan. Arteta should never start.

Cazorla is on the verge of signing an extension into 2017...

Santi is our second best attacker. You can put your house on his starting next season if he stays. If we get someone like Vidal or Verratti, it will be Coquelin sitting out, even though he doesnt deserve that but it will happen.

He already signed a contract until 2018, so we will be getting good money for him if someone wants him, but it will have to be a good bid because hes an important player and Id rather keep him.

When/ if Verratti leaves PSG, it'll be to either Juventus or Barca/ Real/ Bayern. He's insanely good and wouldn't leave PSG for us. We don't really need a player like him at the moment either.

No he's not...we have Ozil, Ramsey, Sanchez...

and what does attacking have to do with it? his role has changed, he's a deep lying playmaker now and in that role Verratti is way better.
Nxt season Ramsey will be back central so that either means Santi is automatically out (4-2-3-1) or him and Wilshere are sharing a CM spot (4-3-3)...that's with no signings coming in...if we buy another CM then who goes out? it won't be Ramsey...if we buy a DM then depending on his ability under pressure and his distribution, it would leave either coquelin or Santi on the bench....it's clear that no matter what Santi will be playing a lesser role going forward...and that's okay, his versatility is great for a key bench role

I'd love for him to stay coz he's a wonderful footballer but it can't be as an automatic starter...that's why i think next season is his last here

Ramsey can do what Matuidi does and Arteta to a lesser extent can do what Motta does...Having Verratti there makes it a lot easier for those other guys to play...

A beast like Kondogbia? what does that mean...btw both those guys play next to DMs...so you want CMs who are nowhere close to Verratti's level but don't want him?

Verratti is not a priority. We have quality players of similar ilk; getting in a top CF or DM should take precedence over anything else.

He showed last season he can be a starter. If Ramsey got pushed out on the wing because of Cazorla, who does Wenger really prefer there? Wilshere also got played on the right wing as well. Wenger has transformed Cazorla and its not to put him on the bench.

Why is this even a discussion?

PSG are not selling him. And if he ever leaves PSG it'll be to his "dream club" Juventus or Real/Barca.

Perhaps I should start a new thread every day during the transfer window.

Tomorrow: Pastore to Arsenal? (Source: Metro)
Monday: De Gea considering his options; Arsenal a possibility. (Source: Star)
Tuesday: Neymar Arsenal-bound? (Source: Goal.com)
Etc.

He'd be brilliant!

I'd love to see him and Wilshere next to each other in CM!
