^ Our defense is more stable with Per in there. We've conceded less goals with him around than without him.

Last season, we conceded 36 goals in the League. This season, we've already conceded 34 with 11 games to go.In 14/15 too, we conceded 36 goals.

I'd start Per with Kosc until the end of the season. Of course, how the injury has affected him; we'll only know after he plays a few games.

^ Okay, simply put, we haven't conceded as much goals as we have at this stage with Per man in defense. In 11/12 we did. After that, at this stage, this is the highest.

Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka says he is focused on Germany's Confederations Cup campaign amid reported interest from Arsenal.

Reports in England claim the Gunners are set to make a £21m offer for Goretzka, who has one year remaining on his contract at the Bundesliga club.

He has started both of Germany's matches at the Confederations Cup in Russia, scoring in the 3-2 victory over Australia.

Speaking in Sochi, Goretzka said: "I do not want to say anything about the transfer rumours, I'm focusing on the Confederations Cup.

"I'm not going to give state-of-play updates, but if there are facts, I will announce them.

"I'm not the type to be impressed by newspaper reports, I know what my qualities are, but I will not build myself up."

Germany coach Joachim Low has picked a youthful squad for the tournament in Russia and Goretzka has been one of his key players.

Low confirmed he has spoken to the 22-year-old about his future but is confident the transfer speculation will not prove a distraction.

"I had a long chat with Leon before the Confederations Cup about various scenarios and opportunities," said the Germany boss.

"I gave him my thoughts, which I won't share here, and we've blended the transfer rumours out at the Confederations Cup.

"He has done very well here and is intelligent enough to take the right steps [for his future]."

Agent Özil, Agent Mustafi and Agent Mertesacker should get to work.
He would improve us and won't cost too much.

Kolasinac - Xhaka - Goretzka - Oxlade

Think he'll stay with Schalke for the final year of his contract and join Bayern on a free next summer like a proper mug. Good luck to him.

Wenger has had issues in signing CMs and CFs for five years now.

We've signed a whopping 3 CMs since 2012: Xhaka, Elneny, and Flamini (free transfer). Similarly, we've signed 3 CFs since we signed Giroud: Welbeck, Sanogo, Lucas. Sanogo was an experiment and I have no idea why Wenger signed Lucas.

Imagine signing 2 CMs and 1 regular CF in 5 years. And, people wonder why we don't challenge for the Prem.

If we cut it down to starting CMs and CFs, we've signed 1 CM and no starting CFs since we signed Giroud. State of the club.

To be fair we have had our share of bad luck with CMs. Diaby, Wilshere and Ramsey would've been a solid CM bench had their fitness permitted them to crack on.
