And Ozil was better in 15/16. I hope we realize that.

I don't understand why we're comparing two outstanding seasons - Ozil is a CAM, Cesc a CM.

They could both be in our team.

Yes, they could be and I'm all for that.

I'm comparing them because of DEM Cesc > Vava > Ozil narrative that's been going on here for a while now.

Ceac wasat the least equally as good imo, he lead the assist chart playing deep, controlled games and did a defensive job to all whilst chelsea won the title.

As highlighted we should have both, bar messi and as midfielders their the two standout players in world football at crwatimg chances.

Thing is, Cesc had Matic baby-sitting him, and as I mentioned earlier, Oscar playing as a defensive CAM in Mou's defensive formation. Plus, if you look at it neutrally, Cesc had great finishers alongside him, whereas Ozil was playing with Giroud who entered a dreadful drought and Alexis, who was very poor for the first half of that season (I don't understand why we like to ignore this fact).

I'd be glad with both playing for us. But I think Wenger could do better. We could have Vidal playing alongside Xhaka, or we could break the bank for Verratti.

b-but but bringing him back in 2014 would have hampered the development of true gooners Wilshere and Ramsey. Don't forget, we also needed to save that money for key signings like Chambers and Debuchy.

So f***ing what if Cesc needs a DM to support him? Ozil needs a top finisher to pass to because his own shooting lacks accuracy (unlike say Lampard who could pass and shoot). Yaya Toure needs Fernandinho to defend the back line so he can bomb forward, where he's most effective.

Cesc is about to stroll his way to 2 PL titles in 3 years and people here still trying to claim he's past it.
